Websites and administrative applications outages

UTHealth Houston is currently experiencing service disruptions affecting the university and UT Physicians websites, as well as PeopleSoft and other administrative applications. Our IT teams are aware of the issue and are actively working to restore full functionality. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Power Outage Update

Power has been restored by CenterPoint to the UTHealth Houston campus. Safety and Facilities are checking alarms, access, etc. If there are any facility related issues, please contact fixit@uth.tmc.edu.

Widespread Power Outage

A widespread power outage is currently affecting Cizik School of Nursing, McGovern Medical School, Jesse Jones Library Building, School of Public Health, and the Professional Building. Facilities teams are actively working with CenterPoint Energy to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Updates will be shared as more information becomes available.

UTHealth Houston will return to normal operations

With a rise in temperatures and improved road conditions after Winter Storm Enzo, UTHealth Houston will return to normal operations and all in-person activities on Thursday, Jan. 23.

UT Physicians clinics will open at noon on Thursday. All telemedicine appointments will proceed as scheduled. All clinics at UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry have reopened. UTHealth Houston Behavioral Sciences Campus lifted its emergency status at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Starting Thursday, UTHealth Houston shuttles will operate on their usual schedule.

The university is open and operational.

We will continue to closely monitor weather conditions, as periodic freezing temperatures are expected across Texas through Friday, Jan. 10. Any change to campus operations will be communicated through the UTHealth Houston Emergency Communications websiteUTHealth Houston ALERTInside UTHealth Houston, and university social media channels. We urge all students, faculty, trainees, and staff to monitor those communication channels, as well as local weather conditions.
